How Scholarships Work
You are automatically considered for merit scholarships when you apply to St. Edward’s. For most scholarship opportunities, an additional scholarship application isn’t needed. Students who receive athletic scholarships may not be eligible for all of the scholarships and grants listed below. Applicants should submit a completed application for admission by the priority application deadline in order to be fully considered for all scholarships and need-based grants.
Merit scholarships consider things like:
- High school or transfer school GPA
- High school class rank (if available)
- Academic pursuits in high school or from a transfer school
- Demonstrated ability to be successful at St. Edward’s
First-Year Student Merit Scholarships
At St. Edward’s, scholarships help reduce the average tuition paid by first-year students by more than half. All new freshmen admitted through regular admission will be considered for our merit scholarships, which range from $12,000 to $30,000 annually.
