December 2024 Commencement
St. Edward’s is excited to honor our degree recipients with special celebrations occurring on campus. Check out the event schedule, graduation details and FAQs for our commencement festivities.
December graduates, make sure you have everything in order to receive your diploma and take part in commencement. Review the graduation guidelines that provide a timeline of required tasks and deadlines to help you stay on track to graduate.
Spring and Fall 2025 Housing
Living on campus connects you more closely to your hilltop family and all campus resources, support services and activities. It also saves commuting time and money. If you are not currently living on campus, the Spring 2025 housing application is now open via the Current Students Housing task in myHilltop.
It's not too soon to start planning for Fall 2025 campus housing selection, starting in January 2025. If you have any questions please review our . Please note, if you are thinking about living off campus during your freshman or sophomore year you need to complete the housing exemption request form in the housing portal.
Hilltop Support for Your Wellbeing
The last month of the fall semester can be stressful as you wrap up your classes, prepare for finals and make plans for the holidays ahead. If you’re feeling anxious or overwhelmed, remember that your Hilltopper family is here for you with dedicated support for your mental and emotional health, and your safety on campus.
We encourage you to reach out to your success coach, the Dean of Students Office, the Health & Counseling Center, Campus Ministry or the University Police for any assistance you may need. We care about your wellbeing and are prepared to help. View our student emergency and support resources.
Advanced Experiential Learning
All students are encouraged to take part in advanced experiential learning opportunities such as internships, research and volunteer work. This year, we've hosted exciting events like career treks, where students connect with top employers in Austin and explore potential career paths. There are countless ways to get involved—discover how you can get started!
Academic Support for Finals
Take advantage of your free academic support services on the hilltop. Sign up for online 24/7 tutoring through Pear Deck Tutor, or you can attend in-person or Zoom Supplemental Instruction sessions. Specialized assistance for math and writing is available via the Math Lab and Writing Center, and staff at the Munday Library can help with research. Finally, Success Coaches can help with study skills, time management and goal setting.
BONUS: Apply for the St. Edward’s Presidential Award
If you are graduating in December 2024 or May 2025, you may be eligible for the Presidential Award! This prestigious recognition is given to outstanding students who embody the principles of our Holy Cross mission and have demonstrated excellence in leadership, academic performance and service. All application materials are due Feb. 7, 2025, by 5 p.m. You can access application criteria, materials and a video describing how to fill out and submit the application via this .
