Commencement Celebrations and Festivities

St. Edward’s is excited to honor the achievements of our Undergraduate and Graduate degree recipients with Commencement ceremonies and festivities.

Commencement festivities include GradFest, Baccalaureate Mass, Commencement ceremonies held in the Recreation and Athletics Center (RAC) and livestreamed from Jones and Carter Auditoriums. The Legacy Walk follows each ceremony.

Fall 2024 Commencement

Friday, December 13, 2024, in the Recreation and Athletic Center (RAC); 2–4 pm

Commencement Rehearsal

Commencement rehearsal will be held the afternoon of Wednesday, December 11th in Jones Auditorium at 3:45pm for all graduates. Practice is not required but highly recommended. Attending helps to keep the ceremony running smoothly. Graduates do not need to bring or wear regalia for this event.

Last-minute regalia needs

The SEU Bookstore will be open and ready to assist you on commencement day with any last-minute regalia purchases; to include, graduate gowns, tassels, etc.

Commencement Ceremony & Legacy Walk

  • The Commencement Ceremony will be held on Friday, December 13th 2024, from 2pm–4pm, with the Legacy Walk immediately following.
  • Graduate check-in begins in the Alumni Gym at 12:30pm, & RAC doors open for guests at 1pm.
  • The Office of the Registrar's staff will provide name cards to the students with their name, pronunciation (if provided), and academic honors (if applicable) when they check in at the Alumni Gym for commencement.

Livestream Viewing

Livestream viewing of the commencement ceremony is available to all guests who did not obtain an allotted ticket. Seating is on a first come, first served basis in the Jones Auditorium here on campus; no ticket is required. If you have a guest who is unable to make the ceremony, and would still like to view it, please observe the shareable livestream link provided here - .

Parking

Campus parking on Friday, December 13, 2024 will be complimentary and available in all lots and the garage, except in Lots M, R & Y.

There are numerous handicapped parking spaces across campus, including Lot F, directly across the street from the commencement venue. A valid handicapped parking permit/license plate will be required to access a handicapped space.

Staff will be available to help direct you to the nearest open lot. Please follow the directions of parking staff, identified by a blue and gold safety vest, to help facilitate the movement of vehicles on campus. No curb parking is permitted.
