We couldn’t be more excited about having all Hilltoppers back on campus this academic year! Our hilltop community’s energy and enthusiasm fueled a fall and spring semester jam-packed with learning and achievements, the inauguration of our new president and impressive accolades for St. Edward’s.  

At the heart of this busy school year is our students’ steadfast engagement in their St. Edward’s experience. Curiosity, innovative thinking, multicultural understanding and passion for improving the world inspire our students’ meaningful pursuits, both in and beyond the classroom. Every day, their Hilltopper spirit shines bright.

Homecoming and Hillfest Are Back!

Two longstanding campus traditions — Homecoming and Hillfest — returned this year after a two-year pause due to the pandemic. Hilltoppers celebrated the comradery, fun and perseverance of our community in grand style. Catch the excitement in these videos.

Our National Recognition Continues to Grow

Along with the campus activities shown above, St. Edward’s drew significant praise this year. The university was recognized by U.S. News & World Report and the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs for the following honors:

Top 10 University in the West: We’re ranked a top 10 university for the 3rd year in a row by U.S. News & World Report. St. Edward’s also ranked among the top 10 in Best Regional Universities West for Veterans, Best Value Schools, and Best Undergraduate Teaching. We couldn’t be prouder of our top 10 status. .

Fulbright HSI Leader: St. Edward’s is one of 35 Hispanic-serving institutions nationally to receive this new distinction for noteworthy engagement with the Fulbright Student Program, the U.S. Department of State’s flagship international exchange program for teaching and studying abroad.

Top Producer of Gilman Scholars: St. Edward’s has produced the most Gilman Scholarship recipients in the program’s 20-year Top Producer category for small institutions. Gilman Awards, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, make study abroad accessible and inclusive for high-achieving students with financial constraints.
