2025 marks a significant milestone for St. Edward’s, as the hilltop community and our longtime supporters celebrate 140 years of educating the hearts and minds of exceptional students across generations.
In honor of this landmark occasion, St. Edward’s has initiated a year-long observance, highlighting remarkable achievements, distinguished moments and future initiatives that will empower our university to maintain its trajectory of success.
140th Anniversary Celebration Kickoff
St. Edward's threw a kickoff event to celebrate 140 years of excellence, complete with food, crafts, prizes and more. Student Government Association President Mikayla Pastrano '25 shared a few words on behalf of the student body, while Father Richard Wilkinson offered a prayer of celebration for the university. The student mural design contest winner, Andrew Moncada '25, was announced and honored for his winning design "Rooted in Resilience." President Montserrat Fuentes rounded out the short program thanking the hilltop community for all their contributions to St. Edward's over the years.

St. Edward’s launched its historic year of festivities with this special event, where university leadership, alumni, community partners, long-standing supporters, Central Texas leaders and Austin Mayor Pro Tem Vanessa Fuentes came together to celebrate noteworthy accomplishments and future endeavors promoting the success of the institution’s Strategic Plan 2027 goals.
