Our goal is to help students explore and excel by providing them with the guidance and resources they need to become independent learners. In addition to one-on-one meetings, we employ a state-of-the-art software that helps students stay on track of coursework, collaborate with faculty and receive up-to-date information on their academic progress.
Services include comprehensive degree planning, degree audits, off-campus course approval, study abroad equivalency approval, graduation certification, course overload approval and pass/no-pass grading approval.

Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors, and those preparing to graduate are assigned a faculty advisor who works closely with students to guide them regarding optimal course sequencing and professional pursuits. They assist students with managing responsibilities, course schedules and degree plans.
Transfer students should contact Academic Counseling and Support Programs for assistance with choosing classes, planning the academic experience and getting help with coursework during the first semester. Call 512-448-8660 or visit suite 155 in Moody Hall.
All students can visit and search for "Degree Works." Once logged into Degree Works, the student's advisor contact information is listed towards the top of the page. If no faculty advisor has been assigned, contact Kelsey Samsel at ksamsel@stedwards.edu.
School of business degree plans can be found online. To access the degree audit and academic advising/planning system, log in to your account, search 鈥淒egree Works鈥 and click on the designated icon. If you need assistance, video tutorials and manuals are available through the Office of the Registrar.
The semester prior to completing all degree requirements, log in to your account, search 鈥淎pply to Graduate鈥 and click on the designated icon. Follow the prompts. For questions, contact The Bill Munday School of Business at 512-448-8696 or the Office of the Registrar at 512-448-8750.
Students may add and drop courses through myHilltop from the beginning of the registration period until the add/drop date deadline. Course enrollment numbers change on a daily basis, and closed classes may develop openings before the start of the semester.
If you have been unsuccessful in adding a required course through myHilltop because the class has reached the enrollment limit, follow the prompts to add yourself to the course wait list.
The Bill Munday School of Business is firm about approving overloads and reserves this option for students with very special circumstances (e.g., graduation). Decisions are based on class space, ranking and prerequisite demands. A wait list request does not guarantee approval.
Wait list requests will be processed after the opening of registration for all students and will continue through the fifth class day of the following semester. Students will be notified via their St. Edward鈥檚 email account if they are awarded a wait list seat and will have 24 hours to register for the course.
Enrollment eligibility is automatically removed from myHilltop after 24 hours. The Bill Munday School of Business reserves the right to revoke wait list seat offers based on class demands. The student is responsible for registering for the course through myHilltop once offered a seat in a wait-listed class.
